Kosher Information

Below you will find detailed information about Kosher food to help you throughout your visit in Cape Town.

 General Note About Kosher Products

In most supermarkets across South Africa, you will find many products with Kosher certification marked with the BD - Beth Din logo.

For those who keep Chalav Yisrael, please check the labels carefully — many products are kosher but not Chalav Yisrael unless stated.

For those who are careful about Pas Yisrael, please note that baked goods that are not sold directly from the kosher bakery counters, must be checked.
